  1. The World Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Day is annually observed across the globe on 27 February to recognize, celebrate, and honour the contributions of all non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to society.  
  2. National Protein Day is annually observed across India on 27 February to raise public awareness and educate people about the health benefits of protein. The theme of National Protein Day 2023 is “Easy Access to Protein for All”.
  3. Every year on 27 February, Maharashtra state in India mark Marathi Language Day.
  4. The Ajanta Ellora International Festival 2023 was held from 25 February to 27 February in Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
  5. Hockey Madhya Pradesh was named the winner of the 13th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship in 2023 after defeating Hockey Maharashtra 5-1 in the final in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
  6. The two-day Youth 20 India Summit was organized at the Maharaja Sayajirao University Vadodara in Gujarat from 25-26 February, 2023 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India to mark the celebration of India’s G20 Presidency. It was attended by more than 600 delegates from 62 countries.
  7. Computer scientist Hari Balakrishnan has been awarded the 2023 Marconi Prize for fundamental contributions to wired and wireless networking, mobile sensing, and distributed systems. 
  8. E-commerce giant Amazon announced that it will join the Indian Government’s ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) platform, and as part of its initial collaboration will integrate its Smart Commerce and logistics services with the ONDC network.
  9. The 31st edition of World Book Fair officially began on 25 February at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, where books from all genres from children to students to adults are showcased for everyone.
  10. Ministry of Home Affairs on 24 February, 2023 approved the renaming of Aurangabad city as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Osmanabad city as Dharashiv.
  11. The Namami Gange Executive Committee has approved 9 Projects, worth over Rs. 1200 Crore for pollution abatement in Ganga Basin and Ghat Development.
  12. India has ranked 42nd among 55 leading global economies on the International IP Index released by the US Chambers of Commerce. The United States ranks first in the 2023 International IP Index, followed by the UK and France.
  13. For the first time, India’s indigenously-made light combat aircraft Tejas will be participating in an international multilateral air exercise — Exercise Desert Flag VIII, in the UAE, reflecting India’s increasing efforts at showcasing the jet at the world stage.
  14. Bhutan’s Royal Highness The Gyalsey (Prince) Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, has become the country’s first digital citizen by onboarding with the Bhutan National Digital Identity (NDI) mobile wallet.
  15. Infosys, a next generation digital services and consulting, announced that it will expand its collaboration with Microsoft, to help accelerate enterprise cloud transformation journeys worldwide, via an exchange filing.
  16. A 1986-batch officer and an alumnus of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Lt Gen RS Reen took over as Director General Quality Assurance on 24 February, 2023.
